Warranty Registrations

 

All fires come with a manufacturers guarantee with a minimum of one year but often far in excess of that but will come with certain criteria to be met. In the case of gas fires, they must have an annual safety check & service (SCS) carried out by a qualified & registered Gas Safe engineer, irrespective of the amount of use the appliance has had throughout the year. It is worth checking through the terms & conditions of your fire to make sure you conform with its criteria as they can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.

 

As a minimum, all companies expect you to register the warranty within 28 days of installation, usually having an online form for ease, links are listed below. For gas fires & stoves, most companies insist on the oxypilot assembly being replaced at each service, this will be charged for on top of the safety check & service cost by the engineer. Failure to replace this where it's stipulated will automatically void your warranty. Please note routine consumables are never covered by the guarantee. It is the owners responsibility to arrange the SCS before the warranty runs out each year.

How to Register your warranty

Online registration is a simple procedure and usually only takes a minute or two.

To register follow the steps below, making sure you have the make, model and serial number of the fire to hand FIRST.                                                                                         If the warranty form is inside the box for you to complete and send off, then there is a phone number instead for any potential issues.

  • Scroll down to gas, electric or multifuel and find your manufacturer

  • Click the relevant supplier, this will take you directly to the registration page

  • Enter all details requested, usually model, serial number, control type, name, address, email address, phone/mobile number, installation date, shop name & address

  • For gas installations, the fitter will issue you with his name & Gas Safe number

  • For multifuel installations, the fitter will issue you with name & HETAS number

  • Some companies ask for the proof of purchase to be attached with the form

  • Make sure the registration is done within 28 days of purchase/installation

VERY IMPORTANT
 
Keep your receipt/invoice in a safe place, in the event of a warranty claim you will need to produce it!!!
It is the customers responsibility to save it not the retailers.
